From October 24 to November 2, the Xidian Guangzhou Institute of Technology held the 2025 “Guangyan Cup” Graduate Basketball Tournament. Four teams participated in the competition, respectively representing graduate students from every grade, as well as the faculty team.

Stepping out of their labs and onto the stadium, the participants showcased remarkable energy and teamwork throughout the intense competitions. After thrilling matches, the second-year graduate student team emerged as the champion of this year’s “Guangyan Cup.”  More than just a sports event, the “Guangyan Cup” served as a vibrant demonstration of youthful dynamism and collective spirit. The tournament greatly enhanced communication and camaraderie among students across different years and between students and faculty, further strengthening the institute’s sense of community. All students and faculty will carry forward the determination displayed on the court into their academic research and future endeavors, progressing together toward greater achievements.
