On April 25, the 2026 Forum of Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation was held at Yanta Campus of XDU. The forum gathered elite scholars from Tsinghua University, University of Macau, Northwestern Polytechnical University and other renowned institutions.

Mao Liqiang delivered an opening speech, introducing XDU’s discipline strengths, top-tier research platforms and achievements in mechanical engineering. Experts delivered keynote reports on flexible micro-robots, legged robot control, intelligent algorithms and related frontier topics.

Participants exchanged views on robotics research, interdisciplinary integration and talent training, and visited the university’s key national laboratories. The forum built a high-level academic platform to boost the innovative development of intelligent manufacturing and high-caliber talent cultivation.
