On the evening of May 15, the 40th Campus Dance Competition and the 3rd Campus Group Dance Competition, organized by Xidian University under the guidance of the Shaanxi Dance Association, took place at the Chang’an Campus.

This year’s event set a new record for scale, with all 18 schools across the university fielding teams. Undergraduates and graduate students competed side by side, school leaders cheered them on from the sidelines, faculty members also actively formed teams to participate, and retired faculty, as well as a youth team from the university’s affiliated elementary school, also took the stage. This truly realized a “full-age, all-inclusive” participation model. From the “hoarse-voiced” cheers to the “collective” enthusiasm, the competition venue was not only filled with the radiance and passion of the stage but also embodied the enterprising spirit of XDU youth in the new era—uniting in purpose, dancing together, and advancing hand in hand.

The schools engaged in head-to-head 1v1 competitions, with the School of Electronic Engineering and the Faculty of Integrated Circuit taking the stage first. Their fan-dancing performance captivated the entire audience. Their brilliant performance of “The Youth of China” drew waves of applause with its perfectly synchronized choreography. School of Mechano-Electronic Engineering and the School of Optoelectronic Engineering delivered a powerful rendition of “Counterattack,” with a rhythm that was both strong and dynamic. The students vividly embodied the spirit of Xidian University students—daring to take on challenges and striving to reach new heights—with their full energy, and every pose showcased the sharp, enterprising edge of their youth. The School of Humanities and the School of Aerospace Science and Technology jointly presented “My Future,” with students performing with agile steps and radiant energy, showcasing the boundless aspirations and unwavering confidence of Xidian’s youth as they pursue their dreams.

As the event drew to a close, all Xidian students joined together to perform “Youth Ignites Dreams” When the familiar melody echoed through the venue, dreams and passion resonated in unison, and the torch of original aspirations and mission was passed on. With boundless enthusiasm and high spirits, the students of Xidian University strode confidently toward the new journey.
