Hungarian and Bulgarian Academic Delegation Visits Xidian University

An eight-member delegation of experts from Hungary’s Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), and Bulgaria’s Space Research and Technology Institute (SRTI) visited Xidian University (XDU) on May 26th.

The delegation was warmly received by Shen Yulong, Director of Division of International Cooperation and Exchanges, alongside representatives from the School of Aerospace Science and Technology, the Institute of Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Science, and relevant staff.

Director Shen Yulong extended a sincere welcome to the delegation, introducing XDU’s profile and expressing optimism about future collaboration. "This visit enhances mutual understanding and lays a solid foundation for joint initiatives," he stated, proposing potential areas for cooperation.

Prof. Tamás Kozsik, Dean of ELTE’s Faculty of Informatics, thanked XDU for the invitation to its recent international conference in Guangzhou. He highlighted ELTE’s strengths in informatics and emphasized, "XDU’s remarkable achievements in electronic information fields are highly impressive. We look forward to substantive cooperation."

Associate Prof. Kristóf Csorba from BME’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics introduced his university’s programs and conveyed strong interest in collaborative talent development and research projects with XDU.

Prof. Denitsa Borisova Nikolova of SRTI outlined her institute’s research domains and international partnerships. She proposed future academic exchanges, including faculty-student mobility and joint scientific research.

The parties engaged in constructive discussions on specific collaboration pathways during the meeting.

Following the meeting, the delegation held separate discussions with department heads and faculty at the School of Aerospace Science and Technology and the Institute of Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Science.

Additionally, the delegation toured XDU’s Museum and the AI+ Education Center.
