Xidian News(by Hu Xiaoxia)On May 19, hosted by the China Education Association for International Exchange(CEAIE) and undertaken by Xi’an Jiaotong University and University of Belgrade in Serbia, the “China-Serbia Higher Education Cooperation Seminar” was held online, focusing on China-Serbia talent cultivating cooperation, engineering discipline development and IUR cooperation.
Representatives from more than 20 universities including the CEAIE, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Shandong University, University of Novi Sad in Serbia, University of Belgrade, the Belt and Road Research Institute of Serbia, Embassy of the People’s republic of China in Serbia and the China-CEE University Federation attended the meeting online. Professor Wang Quan, vice president of Xidian University, was invited to attend the conference on behalf of XDU and make a special report. Guo Tong, deputy director of Division of International Exchange, presided over the first group of the seminar.
In the report, Wang Quan introduced the cooperation between Xidian University and universities in CEE countries in talent cultivating, scientific research and other aspects, and explained various measures taken by XDU to jointly establish the eMOOC alliance with multiple universities relying on the advantages of electronic information discipline and artificial intelligence technology. He said that relying on the practice and achievements in the field of “Artificial Intelligence+Education”, Xidian University will further strengthen cooperation with colleges and universities in central and Eastern Europe, actively explore educational ideas, educational teaching methods, educational resource sharing and top-notch innovative talent cultivating, and work together to promote the common development of higher education between China and CEE countries.
It is reported that the conference is one of the Central and Eastern European countries month themed activities held by the China Education Association for International Exchange. Xidian University has carried out a series of cooperation with universities and scientific research institutes in Central and Eastern European countries, such as the University of Belgrade in Serbia, the Czech Academy of Sciences, Aristotle University in Thessaloniki in Greece, and the university has been approved for the joint education project between China-CEE universities of the CEAIE for two consecutive years.
