The paper “Knowledgeable Writer: Enhancing Topic-to-Essay Generation with External Commonsense Knowledge”was accepted by the international conference ACL2019. It was co-authored by Li Lei from the School of Computer Science and Technology of Xidian University. ACL is the premier conference in the field of computational linguistics, covering a broad spectrum of diverse research areas that are concerned with computational approaches to natural language. The 57th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL) will take place in Florence (Italy) at the 'Fortezza da Basso'. Its acceptance rate of ACL is at about 25%, and in 2016, ACL had accepted 2906 papers.
Topic text generation is an important issue in natural language processing and aims to generate relevant text content for a given topic, which has great application value in improving content production efficiency.
In “Knowledgeable Writer: Enhancing Topic-to-Essay Generation with External Commonsense Knowledge”, Li Lei brought up a new model of topic paper-writing by using an external common knowledge base. To solve the problem of topic decentralization and low consistency in long-paper producing, Li Lei scored the produced paper with arbiters, in the framework of Generative Adversarial Networks. The arbiter can renew parameters according to award feedback, optimizing the paper’s performance.
Moreover,under the long-term guidance for his scientific research of the school young teacher Xu Yueshen,Li Lei’s work “Positive-Unlabeled Learning for Sentiment Analysis with Adversarial Training” was also accepted by the CCF-C international conference CollaborateCom2019,one of the oldest conferences in the field of human-computer interaction and pervasive computing.
Li Lei, male,is a software engineering undergraduate from the School of Computer Science and Technology,an intern of the Institute of Computational Linguistics at Peking University, the secretary of Youth League branch 16013018,and the chairman of the School Technology Association. What’s more, Li Lei joined in the Knowledge and Data Engineering Center, charged by Prof. Huang Jianbin, and took part in research and study of the related field of natural language processing.
In summer 2018, Li Lei attended the summer camp held by Peking University, which has an acceptance rate of only 4%. His project, named “Hip-Hop in AI”was considered outstanding even compared with Master and Ph.D students, and was highly praised by Li Kaifu, the former vice president of Google Global and the instructor of Sinovation Ventures. Li Lei ultimately won the Award for Best Demonstration.
